I was driving from the San Francisco Bay Area in my 2007 Toyota Camary (187,000+ miles) on Saturday, December 23, 2012 on my way to spend Christmas with my son in Oceanside, CA. After stopping in Delano for a quick cup of Starbucks, I entered the 99 South and my engine light came on. I quickly GPS the nearest Toyota dealership and it directed me to a Bakersfield dealership. I contacted the dealership and was informed that I was over 35 minutes from the dealership. The nice gentleman directed me to their other dealership which was right off the 99. I called the North Bakersfield Toyota Scion dealership and was given directions. Upon my arrival, I was greeted and directed to Assistant Service Manager, Cody Walters. He was very nice and advised me that my valve system was in trouble. The quote was more than what I wanted to pay especially since I had paid out almost $2,000 for other repairs during the summer. I called my son in Oakland and had him blue book my car. It was valued too low to make the required repair. I informed Cody he could call me a tow truck or call a salesman. Cody introduced me to salesman, Sam Son. Sam is a young gentleman who is extremely professional, polite and patient. (I am an individual who expects great customer service whenever I do business.) Sam and I test drove 2 cars, a Camary hybrid and 6 cyl. I settled on the 6 cylinder Toyota Camary SE. I love my "Attitude black" Camary. During negotiations, I was asked what did I expect from my trade-in. I named my number and was given it. Next, Sam and I completed the application process and I was not happy with my interest rate. Floor manager, Matt Provencio, was called in and I was granted a lower interest rate. I then reqeusted an additional amount on my trade-in. Sam and Matt did not believe I would get anymore money, but did present my request to their Sales Manager. I told them that I have the favor of God and I believe that I would be given the best deal possible at their dealership. Sam came back and informed me that my request was granted. Sam then escorted me over to the finance department. There were four people in front of me, so I hung out in the comfortable lounge and talked to other customers. Finally, I realize that it was late and that I would have to continue my drive to Oceanside, so I asked for some coffee. Sam was so nice he drove me over to Starbucks and got me some coffee. He offered me dinner, but I refused as I wanted to get back to the finance manager. While waiting back at the dealership, Amir Ayyoub, Sales Manager approached me and informed me that he was able to lower my interest rate ever lower. I was excited! Sam introduced me to Alan Doward, Finance Manager, who very patiently answered my questions and explained my contract. I was given my keys and Sam escorted me out to the car where it was being waxed. Sam set me up on the dealership's computer and logged me into Toyota Entunes. Next, Sam set up my car's bluetooth, satellite radio and other personalized items I wanted in my car. He showed my how to operate my car and explained other features. We inspected the car and then I found out that Sam was suppose to get off work at 6:30 p.m. It was 8:30 p.m. I really appreciated that Sam stayed with me during the whole process. I was sent off very happy. I drove an additional 3 hours from Bakersfield to Oceanside. The next morning I received a call from Sam to make sure I had made it to my son's home safely.
Buying my new Prius from North Bakersfield Toyota was a truly enjoyable experience. I have never like to be involved in vehicle purchases but this was nothing like anything I had experienced in the past. The sales staff was remarkably efficient, professional and at the same time warm, welcoming and considerate of my car buying needs. I actually had fun buying a car. Every step of the way I was treated as an intelligent, informed, valuable customer. The finance department explained very clearly what was involved and for the first time ever I completely comprehended what I was paying and why. It all made such perfect sense. You don't just buy a car and are forgotten as soon as you drive off the lot. The staff follows up to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase. You are invited to "New Owner Events" to make sure you are knowledgeable about your car and about the various services offered by North Bakersfield Toyota. The service staff is as great as the sales staff. They are courteous as well as very helpful. They explain everything clearly and perform needed service in a timely manner. When you do business with North Bakersfield Toyota you know that everyone there is genuinely concerned with your satisfaction.
Toyota is very obviously a superior product. I have never been happier with a car. North Bakersfield is the best possible place to purchase a Toyota. Even if you aren't that interested in buying a Toyota you should

Buying my new Toyota from North Bakersfield Toyota was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. The staff there make it easy to get in the Toyota of your choice and really walk you through all the buying options available.
When it came time to get my first service work done, again, they were quick, responsive and reliable. They even washed and detailed my truck before I picked it up.
You still can't beat the Toyota quality or attention to detail. I have yet to find anything that disappointed me. When I have bought and driven other cars I would wish for the vent to be positioned differently, any given control to be positioned more logically (for me) etc. The Camry has everything just where it should be to be effective and safe. We love the acceleration and handling. The only thing Toyota can improve is to take a lesson from Garmin on the GPS features and logic.
We chose North Bakersfield Toyota because of the beautiful, clean facility and responsive staff. It is conveniently located in northern Bakersfield. We were delighted when our salesman listened to our concerns about the car we came to test and recommended a different car which was more compatible with us - which we bought that day. The sales staff is friendly, respects the clients and is responsive.
I look forward to taking the car to be serviced there as the staff seem to be both efficient and friendly. The waiting facilities are clean and welcoming.

My wife drives over 100 miles a day so we were looking for a safe, comfortable and reliable car. I believe we found it at North Bakersfield Toyota/Scion in our new 2009 Camry LE.
We contacted Greg Spear, Internet Sales Manager, via email and made an offer on a new Camry. He did not have the vehicle in stock but he came back with a fantastic offer on another, better model at a price well below what we expected. (I still do not know how they made any money on this deal.)
Beyond price though, we found Greg and the rest of the staff very upfront and honest and a pleasure to deal with. We were in and out in under an hour and they did not try to sell us anything we did not ask for.
In fact, we even had to ask the finance manager about the extended warranty instead of him delivering the hard sell pitch we have encountered with other dealers. It was refreshing.
All in all, we are very happy with our new car and very satisfied with the price, service, honesty and intregrity we received at North Bakersfield Toyota/Scion.

We have purchased two new vehicles from this dealership within the past 3 years. The professionalism that all of the employees resonated was remarkable. The product knowledge was excellent, not one question went unanswered during the purchasing process. The finance process was smooth and professional.
